Most Sharm resorts ask you to choose between a beach and somewhere to go at night. Savoy is one of the few that doesn't force it. Soho Square is at the door - you can finish dinner, walk twenty metres and be back in the room - and White Knight Beach, with its reef and snorkelling areas, is the hotel's own frontage. Neighbouring Sierra shares the square but not the same beach access.
Six restaurants and five bars, including Adalar for Turkish cuisine, plus Italian, Greek, seafood and international kitchens. For a week-long stay with children or older parents, having a familiar menu on site changes the trip. What you can eat where depends on the rate you book - meal plan varies by rate.
The thing that makes Savoy good is the same thing that makes it wrong for some people. An active square outside means noise, crowds and movement until late. There is no adults-only wing and no attempt at seclusion. Spa and hammam, tennis and squash, a tour desk, a 24-hour front desk and an airport shuttle are on site; diving and snorkelling trips are booked separately from the stay.
