JAZ Belvedere is a mid-sized family resort on Montazah Bay, about 15 minutes from the airport, with a sandy beach in front of the rooms and a floating jetty. The bay is often windy and the snorkelling is modest, but the easy sea entry suits young children. Book it for a simple beach week with kids.

JAZ Belvedere is a 317-room resort on Montazah Bay, about 15 minutes from the airport and 12 km from Naama Bay. What it does well is simple: a sandy beach right in front of the hotel, an easy walk into the sea, and a floating jetty out to deeper water. Across the bay you can see Tiran Island.

For families it covers the basics: two pools and a kids' pool, a kids' club, a playground, and ice cream at the Sakkia pool bar. Rihana serves the buffet on a terrace over the water, and Sayadeya is the Arabic and Middle Eastern à la carte. Adults get the Mividaspa, with a jacuzzi overlooking the beach, two floodlit tennis courts and a dive centre. Meal plan varies by rate; you see what is included on the booking screen before you pay.

Know the limits before you book. The bay is often windy, the snorkelling is modest, nothing outside the gate is walkable, and room upkeep is uneven. If you want a reef at your door or restaurants within walking distance, look at Hadaba or Naama Bay instead.

Book it if…

Families with young children — Sandy beach with an easy walk-in, a kids' pool, playground and kids' club.
Short-transfer seekers — About 15 minutes from the airport, handy for a late arrival.
Sporty travellers — Floodlit tennis courts, a dive centre and a water sports centre.

Skip it if…

Serious snorkellers — There are fish off the jetty but few corals; Hadaba's reefs are better.
Walkers — Nothing worth walking to; the nearest shops are five minutes by car.
Nightlife seekers — Evenings are shows and a disco; Naama Bay's bars are 12 km away.

Know before you book

Montazah Bay is often windy, especially when the seasonal winds blow.
→ Take a sunbed behind the windbreaks on the beach, and keep windy afternoons for the pool or the spa.
Reviews disagree on the reef: some see fish off the jetty, others find few corals.
→ Treat the jetty as a bonus, not the reason to come. For proper reef snorkelling, book a boat day to Ras Mohammed or Tiran; trips are separate and paid locally.
Room upkeep is uneven, with air conditioning and key cards the usual complaints.
→ Test the air conditioning and the key card as soon as you arrive, and ask for a different room straight away if something is wrong.

Worth Every Penny Rating: ★★★★★ Jaz Belvedere completely restored my faith in what a resort can be. From the moment I arrived, everything just *worked*—smooth check-in, clean and modern room, perfect A/C, and a view that reminded me why I came to Sharm in the first place. The food was far better than expected for an all-inclusive. Real variety, actual flavor, and enough rotation to keep things interesting all week. Even the coffee and desserts were decent, which is rare at resorts. The beach? Spotless, quiet, and well-staffed. The Red Sea here is stunning, and there’s easy access to snorkeling right off the shore. No chaos, no garbage, no nonsense. Just peace. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly stable—even in my room—which made it possible to check in on work when needed. The staff were polite, professional, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. You could tell the entire operation was run with pride and attention to detail. **Bottom line:** If you’re tired of overpriced “5-star” resorts that deliver 3-star service, come to Jaz Belvedere. It’s clean, calm, well-managed, and actually delivers on what it promises. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Really enjoying my stay at this hotel. The beach is private and absolutely beautiful—clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The whole place is very well-maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything. Big shoutout to the animation team, they bring so much energy and make the atmosphere really fun and lively. There's a great vibe around the hotel.
