Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay is a villa-only resort on the southwestern tip of Bali, spread across gardens that step down toward the bay. Every villa has a gated entrance, its own plunge pool and a covered terrace, so the resort works less like a hotel and more like a cluster of private houses connected by golf-cart paths.

The private beach at Coconut Grove is calm and sandy, good for a swim or a paddleboard, not a place to snorkel — the reef starts further south around Uluwatu, about 20 minutes by taxi. On site there's Sundara for grilled and smoked seafood, Taman Wantilan for the breakfast buffet, Alu by the pool and Jala for Balinese dishes, plus the Healing Village Spa and the Umah Rare kids' club (9am-7pm) alongside the family villas.

The trade-offs are what you'd expect from a large villa resort: it's one of the pricier stays in Jimbaran, spa treatments run at resort rates rather than town rates, and the garden is big enough that reaching the restaurants on foot takes real walking — ask for a villa near the main pavilion if that matters. Meal plan varies by rate. For an evening off the property, Kedonganan's fish market and Jimbaran's beachfront seafood grills are a short taxi away.

Excellent Resort and service. We were upgraded during check-in with amazing hospitality. The villa s are fantastic, have everything inside and small outdoor pool is a big plus. Fourseasons Bali at an amazing location in the Jimbaran Bay, very well maintained resort in the heart of nature, beach and sea. Neighbourhood is developing but not distracting...Somewhat limited evening alacarte dining options which directed us to go for local restaurants by the beach turned out to be an amazing fish food experience... Looking forward to come back
