//Pickalbatros Aqua Blu
Pickalbatros Aqua Blu is a big water-park resort in Hadaba, built for families with school-age children: 25 pools, dozens of slides and a kids' club for ages 4 to 12. The beach is not on site; a shuttle takes you to a sister hotel's sand. Book it for the slides, not for the sea.
Pickalbatros Aqua Blu sits in Hadaba, overlooking the Ras Um Sid cliff, inside a 140,000 m² complex the group calls Aqua Park City. It is a water park with rooms: 25 pools, four of them heated, a wave pool, a lazy river and dozens of slides, most of them for children. Guests can also use the pools of the neighbouring Pickalbatros Aqua Park until midnight.
The Alba Kids Club takes children aged 4 to 12, and Midway Street adds bumper cars, bumper boats and VR games. Meals are mostly buffets: Cave Du Roi for oriental dishes, Soprano for Italian, Mediterranean for international, Culina for fish in the evening, plus a burger bar and a bakery. Meal plan varies by rate; you see what is included on the booking screen before you pay. The Old Market is a 20-minute walk, the airport 20 km.
The sea is the weak point. The beach belongs to sister hotel Albatros Sharm Resort, a shuttle ride away, with a short pontoon and a small reef. Come for the pools and slides. If you want a reef at your door, look at the reef hotels of Ras Um Sid instead.
Clean and comfortable and stuff were amazing
— Nothing
The breakfast and dinner were good; you can find a variety of flavors to suit everyone's taste, and afterwards, enjoy a dessert accompanied by tea or coffee at the patisserie. We would like to thank Ahmed Salah and Arafa Azmy very much, especially regarding our room.
— The hotel does not have direct access to the beach, but round-trip transportation is available via shuttle services provided throughout the day.

Yes, it is built for them. Children of all ages are welcome, and the Alba Kids Club takes ages 4 to 12. The spa is adults-only, but there is no adults-only part of the hotel.
No. Guests use the private beach of sister hotel Albatros Sharm Resort, about 650 m away, by free shuttle bus. It is sandy with a gentle entry, a 40 m pontoon and a small coral reef, so take reef shoes.
20 km. The hotel arranges airport transfers for an extra fee; book one with reception before you fly.
Deluxe Family Room for a family of four: 45 m², up to five guests. A couple with one child can take the Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Garden View (35 m²).
The Old Market and Al Sahaba Mosque, about 1.2 km or a 20-minute walk. Inside the complex, the 450 m promenade of Aqua Park City has cafés, restaurants and bazaars. Naama Bay is 7 km by taxi.
The hotel does not publish age or height limits. Most slides are in the kids' aqua park, a few are for adults, and the VR games start at age 6. Ask the lifeguards on your first day which slides your children can use.

Yes, four of the 25 pools are heated. Ask on arrival which ones. Winter nights drop to about 13-15 degrees, so pack a light jacket for the evenings.

At 45 m² it sleeps up to five, so two adults and two children are not squeezed into a 35 m² double. Your days will be at the pools, so pay for space rather than a view.
Value pick:Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Garden View — 35 m² for up to four; enough for a couple with one child, and usually the lowest-priced way into the same pools and slides.

From most Sharm resorts the Old Market is a taxi ride; from Aqua Blu you can walk. Go late afternoon when it cools, browse the spice stalls and come back for dinner.

The reef starts a few metres from the shore, far better than the small reef at the hotel's beach. Go in the morning and take reef shoes.

Naama Bay is the family evening out: shops, a walk by the sea and this terrace as the meeting point.
