A zoo in Singapadu, Gianyar, about 30 minutes' drive north of Sanur. It has two main areas: Kampung Sumatra, with Indonesian animals such as orangutans, tigers and elephants, and an African savanna with giraffes and zebras. A free shuttle runs between the two. There is a water play area for children and a capybara feeding area, and elephant rides ended at the start of 2026.
A good half day with kids, about 30 minutes from Sanur. Orangutans, tigers, giraffes, and a water play area, so pack swimwear for the little ones. The main paths are fine with a stroller. Avoid Indonesian public holidays, it gets packed.

A small design hotel built around an art gallery, live music and a restaurant; there is no shared pool, and only the top suite category has its own. The beach is about six minutes on foot; light sleepers should factor in street noise and thin walls.
