A sea turtle conservation programme on Sanur Beach, on the sand between Andaz Bali and Hyatt Regency Bali. The two hotels set it up in 2023 with Sindu Dwarawati, a local turtle conservation group authorised by Bali's nature conservation agency. Eggs collected from nearby beaches are kept in a hatchery until they hatch, and rescued turtles are looked after until they can go back to the sea. Anyone can walk in.
A small turtle hatchery right on the sand in Sanur, free to walk in. Kids love it. Feeding and baby turtle releases cost extra and the money goes to the programme. Releases don't happen every day, so ask the day before. Go in the morning while it's cool.

A small design hotel built around an art gallery, live music and a restaurant; there is no shared pool, and only the top suite category has its own. The beach is about six minutes on foot; light sleepers should factor in street noise and thin walls.
