A quiet sea-facing spot just below El Fanar Monument, close to Al Fanar Beach. It is not a polished viewpoint or a formal stop; more like a simple edge of Sharm where you can sit for a while, listen to the water and look out over the Red Sea.

The curator's note

Visit the monument first, then walk down and pause here for a few minutes. It is beautiful in a very understated way: stone, sea, wind and silence. In the evening it can also feel like a local hangout, so if you are coming alone, daylight or early sunset will probably feel more comfortable.

Bring a cold drink and come without a plan. It is beautiful during the day, but the view feels more special after sunset, when Old Sharm starts to glow and the mosque becomes the brightest point in the scene.

I use this place as a simple walking break in Naama Bay. It does not always show clearly on Google Maps, so it is easy to miss, but the location is useful: grab a cold drink, sit under the palms for a few minutes, then keep walking towards the market or back along the beach.
